Looking for a bold ride?  Well, this Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita will only cost you a cool $4.8 million.  Given its 1,004 hp and real diamond finish, you couldn't ask for a bolder ride.

1.  Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita -- $4.8 Million

This is the most expensive street-legal production car in the world.  Why so costly?  Well, it's no overstatement to say that the car is actually covered in diamonds, and while diamonds may be a girl's best friend as the saying goes, they don't come cheap.

Koenigsegg created a new exterior finish especially for the Trevita, called the Koenigsegg Proprietary Diamond Weave, which entails coating carbon fibers with a diamond dust resin.

Beneath the lustrous finish lies a 4.8 liter, dual-supercharged V8 with a total output of 1,004 hp and 797 lb-ft, which essentially means it is king of the highway.  Given the car's outrageous specifications -- in performance and price -- it is no wonder that only three were ever made.

When you're Lamborghini and it's your 50th birthday, you celebrate in style, with the create of a car to suit the occasion.  The Lamborghini Veneno certainly did that.

2.  Lamborghini Veneno -- $4.5 Million

Translated from Italian -- Poison is the name Lamborghini opted to call the modified Aventador -- built to celebrate the automaker's 50th birthday.  This vehicle certainly looks the part, sleek and gleaming, it appears to be undeniably deadly, and absolutely venomous.

The car is breathtaking from any angle you choose to view it from, to the point where you have to rub your eyes to make sure it's actually real.  But you'll really hit the floor when you hear the price -- a mere $4.5 million

The Veneno is fast, amazingly so.  Its 6.5 liter V12 spins all the way up to 8,400 rpm to deliver 740 hp and 507 lb-ft, surging the car to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds.

Expensive supercars have long been common in Europe, but the Lykan Hypersport hopes to make history as "the first Arbian hypercar."  Well, it has been signed up for patrol duty with the Abu Dhabi police force.

3.  W Motors Lykan Hypersport -- $3.4 Million

The Lykan Hypersport first achieved fame for its starring role in the movie Furious 7, where the Lebanese supercar barreled its way through an unbelievable three skyscrapers in Dubai.  In a franchise loaded with high-end exotic cars and one time custom creations, the fact that the Hypersport managed to gather so much attention gives validity to its incredible magnetism.

First there's the styling, which includes -- believe it or not -- jewel-encrusted headlights, scissor doors, and an interior that looks like it's taken directly from science fiction, plus a performance that more than equals the flashy image.  The Hypersport boasts a 3.7-liter, twin-turbo flat-six that yields 770 hp and 708 lb-ft.

Even the Abu Dhabi police force has drafted the Hypersport for patrol duty.  It's mainly used for marketing and public relations purposes, though.  Put the pedal to the metal and it can hit 0 to 62 mph in a mere 2.8 seconds, and it's top speed of 240 mph is enough to scare the living daylights out of anyone.

This Swiss made automobile caught a lot of attention when it made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, outshining even Bugatti's Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Rembrandt Bugatti Edition.

4.  Limited Edition Bugatti Veyron by Mansory Vivere -- $3.4 Million

The spotlight also shines blindingly on the Mansory Vivere edition, because it's not only one of the most expensive cars in the world, it's one of the fastest too.

Created by the German car producers Mansory, the 1,200 hp Veyron at first seems to be a Grand Sport Vitesse Roadster, but then is adorned with a stunning carbon fiber body, a new spoiler package, upgraded LED lights, a redesigned front grill, and a rebuffed cabin.  To further classify it as a work of art, maps of historic race events like the Targa Florio are etched into the exterior and interior.  By the way, although it hardly matters, it can do 254 mph.

The Pagani Huayra BC, a monstrous supercar left it's predecessor the Pagani Huayra eating its dust at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, where Pagani chose to unveil it.

5.  Pagani Huayra BC -- $2.6 Million

With an AMG-sourced V12 and the fastest road-legal Top Gear lap ever, the Pagani Huayra lives up to its namesake -- the Incan God of Winds.  That, however, just didn't cut it for Pagani, because at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, Pagani debuted the Huayra BC, a lighter, hotter version that leaves its older brother in the dust.

In the blink of an eye, you can tell the BC is not your standard Huayra.  It's fitted with a gigantic active rear spoiler that generates 1,102 lbs of downforce at 155 mph, as well as a wider rear track, new side skirts, and tons of seductive aero goodies.  Amazingly, in spite of all the additions, the BC is a featherweight -- a good weight lifter could sling it over his shoulder -- tipping the scales at a mere 2,654 lbs thanks to the vast use of carbon fiber and other lightweight materials.  All 20 available units have been sold for the sum of $2.6 million.

The Ferrari F60 America, full of personality and innovation, had its great unveiling at an anniversary celebration gala dinner at Beverly Hills City Hall.

6.  Ferrari F60 America -- $2.5 Million

In honor of Ferrari's 60 year rule in North America, the Italian brand built 10 examples of this awesome car.  Based on the F12 Berlinetta, the F60 is undeniably patriotic as it proudly sports a Stars and Stripes color scheme, American flag seat inserts, and classic racing livery all around.  To top it all off, no pun intended, you can experience the glory of patriotism with the top down, as the F60 comes with a lightweight fabric top that can be operated at speeds up to 75 mph.

This king among supercars is mechanically identical to the F12, but the Berlinetta isn't exactly a pussy cat to begin with.  Its 6.2-liter V12 churns out 740 stupendous hp, enough to propel the car to 60 mph in only 3.1 seconds.

If you want to break down performance barriers and drive a car with a totally rebuilt body, and amazing speed, then the Bugatti Chiron is the machine for you.

7.  Bugatti Chiron -- $2.5 Million

How do you follow up on a classic?  You create the classic to out class all classics, that's how!

With a starting price of $2.5 million and an amazing new body, the brilliant Chiron outdoes its predecessor in every conceivable way.  It's true that the Bugatti Veyron redefined what an automobile was capable of, but the Chiron mocks those who say the Veyron was the last of its kind, gleefully knocking the performance barriers clear into the next universe.

The supercar's humungous specs are made possible by its reworked quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter W16, which now produces 1,500 hp and a monstrous 1,180 pound-feet of torque.  60 mph is reached in a zippy 2.5 seconds while on the way to the vehicle's top speed, which is 261 mph.  No, it's not the fastest car in the world -- that title belongs to the Hennessey Venom GT -- but cars like these aren't just about speed; they make a declaration about who you are, and the Bugatti speaks very loudly indeed.

If you're longing to drive a car with one megawatt of output, translating to 1,340 hp then the Koenigsegg One:1 packs the wallop you're looking for.

8.  Koenigsegg One:1 -- $2 Million

You can buy this Swedish "megacar" for only $2 million, and you might consider that a steal once you learn all this car can do.

The limited-edition One:1 is based on the Agera R, and it earned it's name by employing a 1:1 kilogram-to-horsepower ratio.  The figure on each side of the colon?  1,340 hp.  No, you aren't seeing things.  This car actually has 1,340 hp, and can theoretically top 273 mph, making it one of the fastest cars ever made, and with its F1-style honeycomb core, carbon fiber intake manifold, and ventilated ceramic brakes, it's one of the most advanced as well.

Just six of these speed demons were built, and each one sold very fast.

The Koenigsegg Regera is a true hypercar, capable of reaching an awesome 1,500 hp, plus low enough in weight to literally sail through the air.

9.  Koenigsegg Regera -- $2 Million

Powered by a twin-turbo 5.0-liter V8 and a 4.5-kWh battery pack, the $2 million Regera hypercar produces an awe inspiring 1,500 hp in total, a stat made even more compelling when you consider the car's low weight of 3,240 lbs.  Now 0 to 60 in 2.8 seconds is notable to be sure, but the Regera's 0 to 186 mph sprint is even more mind-boggling.  A feat, which, incidentally, is accomplished in a mere 10.9 seconds.  By Koenigsegg's own estimates, the car will reach its top speed of 248 mph in about 20 seconds.

10. Lamborghini Centenario LP 770-4 -- $1.9 Million

Ferruccio Lamborghini, the founder of one of Italy's most iconic car brands, would have hit the century mark, turning 100 years old in 2016.  In honor of the occasion, Lamborghini created the Centenario, a $1.9 million magnum opus.

Longer, larger, but lighter than the Aventador supercar, the carbon fiber Centenario features an exterior that is brilliant, being both attractive and functional.  The aerodynamic bumper fins, hood vents, wheel blades, and powerful rear haunches are all designed to keep the vehicle on the ground, and Lamborghini states the Centenario is twice as aerodynamically efficient as the Aventador.

Now onto the power.  The Centenario equips the most extreme engine Lamborghini has ever built, as the 6.5-liter V12 pumps out a whopping 770 horsepower at 8,600 rpm.  Take into consideration its low weight of 3,351 pounds, and it demolishes 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds, and it'll reach 220 mph given enough space.
